Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of individuals who use our interactive telephone service and visit our Web site. Throughout this Privacy Policy ("Policy") we refer to our telephone services and our Web site collectively as the "Service." We’ve designed our Services with your privacy in mind. This policy describes how we obtain, use and disclose nonpublic personal information about you to others. This Policy applies to any and all services provided by us including, but not limited to, our interactive telephone service and our Web site. You will be subject to the terms of this Policy if you register with us or use any of our Services.

HOW WE OBTAIN AND USE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

We may obtain information about you from a number of sources:

· When You Register. When you use our Web site to register for our Services, we collect the information that you provide to us about your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and your credit card information. We also collect any optional information you elect to tell us about yourself, such as your mobile telephone number and your local telephone, mobile telephone and internet service providers. We use this information for internal tracking purposes, to respond to your requests for Services, to communicate with you, to simplify your use of our services, and to determine what goods and services will be of greatest interest to you. Once you are approved for our Services, you may provide us with identifying information, such as a password, in order to access certain Services (e.g., from someone else’s computer).

· When You Use Our Interactive Telephone Service. When you use our interactive telephone service, we collect information in a number of ways. First, we may collect any information provided by the telephone network about the location from where you are calling. We use this information to track usage habits and to allow you to configure your account for more convenient access. Second, we may record your voice communications in order to give you access to our Services and to improve the quality of those Services. By using the Services, you give us permission to record your voice communications.

· When You Configure Your Account. In order to configure your account for convenient telephone usage, we may need to collect additional information from you. For example, we will need to collect your email username and password if you wish to access your email account via the telephone. By collecting such information, we can provide telephone access to third party internet-based services used by you. We only use username and password information to allow you access to third party services.

· When You Use Our Web Site. We may seek information from you from time to time in connection with surveys, contests, promotions or special offers. Participation in these activities is completely voluntary on your part. The information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), demographic information (such as age and income level), preferences and interests. We may note your IP address when you visit our Web site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer our web site, track user movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We collect aggregate (anonymous) information on persons who access our Web site so that we can keep it up-to-date, useful and relevant to visitors. We may place a "cookie" on your computer to track your use of our Service. A cookie is a piece of data that is stored on your hard drive. We use cookies to collect information about your use of the Services and the pages that you visit at our site. We also may collect information about your activities at our web site. Cookies help us estimate the number of persons that use our Web site, determine which areas of our Web site are the most popular, customize our Web site for you, make your navigation of our Web site easier, and market our site to potential advertisers and others.

SHARING INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

We do not sell or provide personally identifying information about you to third parties unless you request us to do so, the disclosure is required by law, or we believe the disclosure is necessary to protect or enforce our rights or the rights of another user. Other circumstances under which we may disclose information about you are described below.

· With Your Permission. We may forward personally identifying information about you to others at your request (e.g., to respond to a promotional offer, to process a transaction by you, or to verify your identity to the third party).

· Anonymous Data. We may disclose aggregated user statistics and demographic information to third parties in order to describe our Services and reach prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties. Such aggregated data will not contain any personally identifying information about you.

· Contests/Surveys. If you participate in contests, sweepstakes or surveys conducted at our site, we may share information with others in the manner described in such promotions (e.g., releasing the names of sweepstake winners). Unless otherwise indicated, those activities will be subject to this Policy.

INFORMATION SECURITY

Security Measures. Security is an important feature of our Service. Our Service employs a Secure Directory system to protect the security of your information.

Although we try to safeguard the privacy of your personal information, transmissions made by means of the telephone or the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. We assume no liability for the disclosure of data due to errors in transmission or the actions of third parties outside of our control. If your credit card or password is stolen or used without your permission, immediately notify us at (408) 360-7730. Upon notification, we will cancel your credit card number and password in our database and update our records. Our Employees. Our employees are given access to personally identifiable information only to the extent they have a need to know such information. Our employees receive security and privacy training, and are reminded on a regular basis regarding this Policy and the need for information security.

When You No Longer Use Our Services. If you discontinue using our Services, we will continue to treat and protect personally identifiable information about you in accordance with this Policy. Although we normally delete such information from our records after a period of time, we reserve the right to maintain information on users who have violated the Terms of Service or for security reasons.

How You Can View and Change Your Personal Information. You can review the personally identifiable information we maintain on you and make any needed corrections to it by contacting us at (408) 360-7730.

OTHER TERMS

Third Party Services. The Service allows you to access other Web sites and the services of third parties via the telephone and via our Web site. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of every Web site or third party service that collects personally identifiable information about you. When you check your email from a third party Web site using our Service, for example, you will be interacting directly with the third party. That party may collect and use information about you in a way that is different from this Policy. The third party will not receive personally identifiable information about you from us other than information provided by you for the purposes of accessing the third party service, for example, your email username and password.

Changes to this Policy. We may add to, delete from, update, or change the terms of this Policy from time to time. We may notify you of the changes or post the modified Policy on our web site at www.internetspeech.com/privacy. Your continued use of any Service following such notification or posting will constitute your acceptance of the revised Policy.

Minors. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, or allow access to our Service by minors. We feel strongly about protecting the privacy of children. As such, we do not collect or use any personal information from children we know to be under the age of 18, and will remove personally identifying information about such minors from our system.
