InternetSpeech Signs Agreement With Preferred Voice To Deliver Speech-Driven Email Manager To Telecom Carriers
New Service Will Allow Wireless And Wireline Users To Hear And Respond To Emails From Any Phone By Using Their Voice
DALLAS, TX.
Nov. 08, 2001--Preferred Voice, Inc. (OTC BB: PFVI) said today that San Jose, CA. based,
voice technology company InternetSpeech, Inc., has entered into a strategic alliance agreement
for Preferred Voice to begin marketing a new email management service that enables users to send
and receive personal emails by voice command from any phone in the US. The new service utilizes
voice recognition technologies developed by both companies and will be delivered over Preferred
Voice’s private SS7 VoIP network. The service will be available to both wireless and wireline
carriers, as well as certain Enterprise distributors, as early as the first Quarter of 2002.
"We have selected InternetSpeech’s speech driven email manager simply because
it not only works, but is so incredibly easy to use," stated Bill Schereck,
Preferred Voice’s President and COO, "With this alliance we now feel confident
that we can deliver the most user-friendly, inexpensive and marketable product to
our carrier and Enterprise partners. We expect to roll out additional, enhanced
versions of the netECHO technology, such as voice web access, weather, news and
stock quotes, in different phases over the year."
InternetSpeech’s
innovative netECHO service platform provides breakthrough technology by translating web-based
information into text and reads the text to the caller using advanced test-to-speech technology.
Now users will have the capabilities to listen to their personal emails and then send an email
reply by speaking into their cell or any wireline phone. While InternetSpeech is a leader in
the audio/voice ISP and Voice Internet technologies, Preferred Voice has a proven record in
providing voice recognition services and technologies to the telecommunications industry.
Preferred Voice currently distributes voice activated dialing services to both wireline and
wireless carriers across the US.
InternetSpeech’s
President, Emdad Khan, commented; "Our service is a perfect match for Preferred Voice’s offering
in this market. Now wireless and wireline users can check their emails, send emails and make phone
calls by simply speaking into their telephone. No need for expensive laptops, web-enabled phones
or other PDA devices."
Additionally, InternetSpeech has signed a multi-year network services agreement
with Preferred Voice’s Network Services Group for carrier provisioning, call management and service
delivery to carriers via Preferred Voice’s private SS7 VoIP network. Preferred Voice’s Network Services
Group provides numerous programs for third party application providers including service delivery to
